My goal is to grow from diagnosing and servicing equipment into designing and building complete HVAC systems.
Working in the field continues to reinforce that equipment never operates in isolation. Airflow affects refrigeration performance. Electrical and control decisions influence mechanical operation. Building load, equipment selection, installation, and system design all determine whether a system performs as intended. I want to understand those relationships—not simply identify the component that failed.
I'm pursuing an engineering education focused on electrical and mechanical systems, with the goal of completing a dual-degree path. I want to go deeper into load calculations, airflow, system sizing, equipment selection, controls, and CAD-based design so I can turn field observations into better-performing systems. As my education and professional development continue, I also plan to work toward ASHRAE's Certified HVAC Designer credential.
The HVAC Engineer is where I document that progression—from field diagnostics to engineering design. It will grow into a place for field lessons, case studies, design exercises, technical explanations, and practical resources for people who want to understand HVAC as a complete system.
